My Goals for Term 3 2021

On the holidays

 On the holidays 

On the holidays VJ, my mum and I went to the arcade. I was so excited to go. 

First we played ten pin bowling. We had to write our name on the tv first. 

Then we started our game and Vj went first he got 8 points then it was my turn I got 9 points then it was Mum's turn she got a strike. She was winning and she said yes I'm winning. So it was Vjs turn he got a spear, so he said that was close. Then I tried and I got a strike. Bowling was cool Vj won.

Next we got some gold coins and played games in the arcade. I picked a gun game but I didn't know how to play it and I lost. So I played a car game and won. I was playing with the candy machine and it fell over. So we grabbed all the candy then the workers stood it up again. 

Later on Vj won so many tickets that he got a toy story pack I got an alien with a rainbow collar and a growing dinosaur. My dinosaur was a like a alIigator and I got some gum and it said zombIe time. 

After that we went to FiIp Out so we bounced, flipped, played basketball, and played dodgeball. 

Finally we got home and we were going to sleep for the next day. It was so awesome at the arcade.

Matua Ray's visit

On Monday morning Matua Ray came to talk to our class about how to keep our fresh waterways healthy.

First Matua Ray talked about the Clarity of the water. he He showed us a video about clarity and then he got a pipe like the one from the video. There was a black magnet on the top that moves something like a telescope. He grabbed it from out of the corner. The pipe was for measuring how clear our fresh waterways .He picked some people to have a turn. The people the black disc in the pipe any more. The 

Next Matua Ra’y told us about temperature. We watched a video. Next he told us about Temperature of the water the temperature it should be 15 degrees .After that he told us about ph levels the best ph level is 7 because if it was 9 it would to alkaline and if was 5 it would be too much acid.

Later on he told us about pest in our fresh waterways. There are two fish one of them is gambusia. Gambusia is mosquito fish that kills fish and eats the eyes of the whitebait fish. Koi carp they make mess in the water and other fish find it hard to breathe. 

I loved Matua Ray’s presentation about waterways and i learned a lot and we will see him next week.

Recount Writing-At the Movies

 I am learning to use the correct structure and language for Recount Writing

The Movies

On Sunday me, Mum and VJ went to watch King Kong Vs Godzilla. We got in the car and drove to Whangarei.  

First we went to a park where there were lots of kids but I had fun. 

Next we went to the movies.  We waited in the long line so we could get our tickets.  I felt so excited.  We had to wait a little while for the guy. 

The guy said “Hey ma’am. What can I do for you today?” She said “Three people here. By the way can we get 1 popcorn bucket and 3 slushies please?” and he said “Yes that would be $10. 50 please.” She said “Here you are.” And he said “Thank you. Enjoy the movie.”  Vj got raspberry and lemonade so I got blueberry and grape slushy. 

So we had to wait again. We were on the stairs and I accidentally spilled some of the popcorn. I felt upset but I was fine.  So we got in to watch the movie. 

In the movie, there was a little girl that couldn’t talk. She used sign language.  King Kong was in a circle ball with the little girl and she made a doll that looked just like him. Her parents put King Kong on a boat for a new home but the little girl told her parents in sign language that  Godillza was coming to destroy the boat. They fought on the boat that King Kong was on. The reason why Godzilla attacked the boat was because they were trying to replace him. So they did, he got replaced with a robot but King Kong was underground in his home. He had an axe and a throne and a door. When he was not home he had a hand print of his so when he put his hand on the hand print he could enter. 

The movie was so awesome.

I felt happy.

The Water Cycle.

The Water Cycle is the way that water moves around the earth. The water moves like a circle that spins around and around and it always spins around. It spins for years and years and it never stops. No one can stop it from going round and round the planet. 

Why is the Water Cycle important to Earth?  

The water cycle makes sure that there is enough water for humans, animals and plants to stay alive. If there was no water then plants would not be able to grow and there would be no food for people and the plants would die. As a result people and animals would die from thirst. If lakes and rivers would dry up there would be no water vapour. Another result if there was no water then there would not be fresh rain water for people and animals to drink. 

Therefore the water cycle is very important because it helps the earth to be healthy. 

So that's why the Water Cycle is important to our earth.

Ffortnight and GTA with VJ and Soony.

 I am learning to use full stops and capital letters correctly.

After school, Me and Vj and Sonny played fortnight and GTA.                                                                      First I went online then I went in the game and VJ was right by me. I brought heaps of gones so then I killed Sonny and Vj in game so then I got on the cops. VJ sponded with Sonny and I died so then we went on Fortnight and we 1v1 and I died a couple times but I won. Then we went back on GTA and then we had dinner and I went back on. Then VJ brought a rocket bike and a fast car. I got on the rocket bike and him and Sonny went on the fast car. Then I gave a Nike the game and then I got a blazing cit and put it on a couch and went to sleep.
